Validar HB

The Validar HB, a spin-off of the Validar 86, stores the vehicle’s unique ID to be periodically sent to the host PC USB port as a “Heart Beat” allowing any system laptop to be automatically updated to the vehicle use.

The low power requirements of the Validar HB are supplied by the host PC through the 2.0 compliant B Type High Retention USB port. User or Factory supplied configuration is stored in the non-volatile memory with a PC using a simple terminal emulator program. Field software updates for the unit are performed through the “uC Flash Port” avoiding unit removal and reinstallation. The STATUS LED indicator idles GREEN when ON and toggles to RED when the unit transmits its ID through the USB port.

Note: Since the Validar HB’s sole purpose is to provide vehicle identification “Heart Beat”, it does not include any external input monitoring capabilities.
